Language Scribing Improvements

Changes throughout Scribe Tools for InDesign now enable the use of additional language codes. The update expands language scribing support to hyphenated codes and codes with capital letters. This change makes it possible to use detailed language subtags throughout the workflow.

The latest Digital Hub update improves the Hub’s language-scribing features.

• The Scribe Language Styles setting will no longer tag Latin-script text. Its accuracy has been improved for identifying languages that do not use Latin-based scripts.
• Greek and Hebrew language codes will now be automatically added to text with Greek and Hebrew ScML styles. The Hub will add “el” for grc styles, “he” for heb styles, “el-Latn” for tgrc styles, and “he-Latn” for theb styles.

The latest Digital Hub update improves existing file checks and adds new checks that identify possible errors in tables of contents.

The new checks compare entries in the table of contents to the linked titles in the book. One check lists the first five potential text mismatches.
